Private tuition
Private tuition is available throughout the academic year and during holidays. It is normally conducted at the student's home, or in the case of mature students who seek tuition during the daytime, there is the possibility of tuition taking place at the tutor's home or at Albion College in Bloomsbury (Holborn).
Tuition is available for the following boards and levels:
GCSE
A-level (Edexcel, Nuffield, OCR-Salter's, AQA)
Birkbeck College chemistry
Chemistry for nurses, nutritionists etc
AP chemistry ( for students attending American colleges)
International Baccalaureate chemistry
It is advisable to begin tuition well in advance of any exams. This is especially the case where students are having difficulty understanding key concepts.
However, in some cases, students have studied hard throughout the year and do not have any problems with knowledge and understanding. In these situations, tuition can be advisable 2 or 3 months before exams, mainly to improve examination technique and to work on lots of past papers.
