Internet tuition
We understand that it can be difficult to find a tutor close to home.
For students in this position we offer Internet tuition, delivered either via Skype (audio or video) or iChat (for those with Mac computers)
Lessons can be booked for either 30 minutes or 1 hour.
This method works particularly well for students that:
- are studying by themselves and need a topic explained to them
- would like to get their work/answers reviewed by an experienced tutor to check their comprehension of the topic
- would like to discuss exam technique
- would like discuss how to approach a course of study
- need ongoing feedback to help them assess their progress
- need extension work set for them in order to achieve a very high grade
How it works:
1. Contact us to discuss your requirements and book your lesson.
2. Pay for your lesson via Paypal, cheque or direct debit (PLEASE NOTE: for Internet lessons, payment must be made at time of booking. Refunds are available up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time.)
3. 24 hours prior to your lesson, either fax or email the work/answers you would like to review or let us know the topic you would like to have explained.
4. Call in via Skype or iChat for your lesson at the scheduled time.
5. If you would like to book further lessons, arrange this at the end of your lesson (or a series of lessons can be booked in advance if you prefer).
6. If you would like us to set additional work for you, this will be sent to you via email after your lesson. (We can scan any relevant text book pages and marked scripts. These can be returned to you as a PDF file).
NB - to benefit from this style of tuition it helps to be very organized, to have specific questions and to know exactly what you want to get out of each lesson.
